EmBARK

EmBARK  is an RPG inspired by the likes of  Zelda, Paper Mario, Yoshi's Island, and Okami. You take the role of a dog who is dreaming that its owner was kidnapped, leading you on an adventure to rescue them from the evil Mailman and their underlings.

The game would have a dog creation screen where you can pick a class (think traditional classes like paladin, thief, wizard, etc.) a fur color, a fur type (scratches, scars, spots, stripes, speckles, all would go here!), accessories, and of course a name! 

A long goal would be to allow multiple breeds you could pick from or possibly a creator that would allow you to change enough details to get the dog 'close' enough to different breeds.

The final mockup is a rough idea of a shopkeeper, I really enjoy how the text is animated in Paper Mario and want to reflect that in the game along with maybe showing off some items that could be used during battles/the game itself.

Right now there are only these three mockups of this idea (along with some notes in a doc and some scribbled stick-figure drawings to help block out these mockups.) We hope to one day realize this as a game though in the future, but are taking our time since it's only the two of us, and don't want to turn this fun project into a stressful one.

Important note: Derivative work of this game concept may not be created. You are NOT allowed to duplicate, use, or modify anything presented in these mockups as this is a project that may be created in the future.
